Gnocchi

I had such great memories in preparing gnocchi with my grand mum  I seemed so difficult at that time. But it is not! So, let's try!

Preparation: 40 min
Ingredients:
100g of potatoes
300g of flour
1 egg

Steps
  1. The first thing to do is prepare the potatoes, wash them and, without peeling them, put them in a pot with salted water and let it boil.
  2. Still warm, peel, mash and place on a well floured work surface. 
  3. Add a pinch of salt, flour and knead together until the mixture is firm but soft at the same time.
  4. Now add the egg and continue to knead until the dough without lumps and compact.
  5. So, divide the dough into strands of 2-3 cm thickness and start cutting your gnocchi placing them on a floured surface or tray.
  6. Finally, practice characteristics scoring of each dumpling dumplings by sliding the fork and pressing a bit, but not too much.
  7. Let stand your gnocchi for 15 minutes, then cook them in a pot large enough with salted water and drain when they rise to the surface.
  8. Prepare the sauce that you like and dress your gnocchi.
